That mother daughter thing.

I probably should have had all boys. It' a long running joke that I am totally inept when it comes to having girls. I can't French plait, I don't wear make up, I own one pair of shoes and I'm fat and don't like dressing up in any way at all. I'm not much of a role model. Plus I have mousey, frizzy hair and I shove it in a bun or tie it up and don't do products or air care or style or anything.

So not much of a role model for girls who want to beautify ;) thankfully they don't seem to mind.

But today, Fran and I giggled our way through some blonde highlighting of her hair because she doesn't like being mousey. I think it went pretty well and it was great fun to do it together, a real mother daughter moment.

We'll be doing pamper evenings next ;) (Molly, if you are reading, she reminded me of you lots tonight :) )

Fran, I know you got the worst of my 'in a minute mothering' but when you are 17 and think I don't understand you and never have time to do stuff for you and that's all you can remember, remember the night we first dyed your hair. I promise never to forget it :)

Great highlights! My 3yo already wants her nails painted. I don’t paint mine so it’s obviously outside influences that are stronger than home.
