		<description>I'm sorry she had to go through the pain, but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the long run.  It is amazing what they can do these days.  I think you also did very well--it's got to be hell to watch your child go into surgery, no matter how long you've had to prepare.  Has her swelling gone down?  Has it made any changes to her speech?</description>

Having seen a friend recently fight her daughter through endless care and surgery to prolong a life that is only pitifully good at best, i can understand you totally.
We've told Fran that any surgery that is purely cosmetic, as in the tip of her nose or straightening her nose, will be completely her call. I can't justify pushing her into that for cosmetic reasons, it was hard enough guiding her to agreement for something fairly necessary.</description>
