Blogging from a muddy puddle.
It seems to be inevitable that a muddlepuddle camp is extremely wet; this year it looks like we might actually be getting away lightly compared to some places but we are still managing to be quite wet. Several tents have had to be moved and we even lost a couple of campers. Ah well. Kids all seem happy though, especially as the adults are mostly indulging them in Sparky Krew Club!
WhenMax said the rain would bring out the Dunkirk spirit in us, I’m not sure he meant we would need rescuing in boats!

Thinking of you all.
Sorry we didn’t make it. It is the mud rather than the rain that I couldn’t face! And the thought of driving out of Sheffield was putting me off a bit too.
Have a good rest of the week.

Poor you! My daughter is at Kentwell camping and all I can say- my heart goes out to anyone camping in this weather. Hope it all goes okay- kids tend to be fine if the adults are happy

You ‘lost a couple of campers’??
Checked all the drains?

Gill, it just sounds like carelessness to me.
Merry, can you remember where you last had them?

Hi,
Sorry, totally off topic, but can you recommend a good HE forum, I’ve got lots of questions and need an ear (or several ears) of experience.
Thanks,
Julie

oh gosh! Stef says he’s pleased we aren’t there with you , he’s never had a soggy camping experience yet. Hope you have fun inspite of the puddles.

We checked all our pockets and behind the back of the camping chairs (no sofas in the field!).

. I did find it hard to get everything back in the roofbox. Better have a good check when I empty it.

checked in our suitcases, no stray campers in here
Plenty of muddy clothes though! Hvae to say blogging from camp is probably above and beyond the call of duty.

i knew i should have abandoned all and dragged the 3 kids to live in a tent in a muddy field with the sparky crew … if we had managed not to get ourselves thrown off site by day 3 i would have had enough material to last me a year.
