Now, even as someone who survived having a coil fitted with much less stress than i imagined, i just can’t imagine this catching on among menfolk. It even made me wince!

Oh, I dunno, doesn’t sound that bad - certainly less hassle/pain than a vasectomy. I’ll be waiting for the results of rather more extensive trials before I suggest it round here though!
Anyway, I’m sure you could knock one up with a bit of fimo and a pony bead ….
